Warm Up and Cool Down
We are sure you have heard this one before: properly warming up before any (intense) physical activity is of utmost importance, to prevent injuries and lay the groundwork for an effective, efficient and enjoyable workout session.
A good warm up should:
For those of you who are not sure how to achieve all of the above with your warm up, without tiring you out too much, we have created some warm up routines that will mobilize and loosen your major joints and muscles from top to bottom.
Similarly, a correctly planned and executed post workout cool down is also critical to kickstart the body's regeneration, reduce the likelihood and/or severity of muscle soreness and thus allow you to train at full capacity again the next day (or days). MORE TO FOLLOW...

- Elevate your heart rate from its base resting rate to a "ready for action" level
- Increase your body temperature and effectively "tell" your muscles to get ready (hence the name 'warm up'!)
- Mobilize your joints and muscles
