What is Kinsei-Do?
Kinsei-Do is a holistic functional training program. It improves all physical aspects required in every day activities and most sports, which are: endurance, strength/power, balance/coordination, speed/agility and flexibility/mobility.

What's behind the name?
Kinsei-Do (均整道) consists of the two Japanese words, Kinsei and Do.
Kinsei means proportioned or well balanced, and Do signifies a method, art or way; hence in combination, Kinsei-Do stands for the art or way of (achieving or maintaining) a strong, fit and balanced body with optimal physical capabilities. Kinsei-Do is The Way of Functional Fitness!

Training Kinsei-Do centers around the five components of physical fitness that form the foundation of all human movement, the pillars of fitness. These are Endurance, Strength and Power, Speed and Agility, Flexibility and Mobility, and Balance and Coordination.

Different Methods for Different Objectives
Depending on which pillar you are working on, the method of training will be different. From HIIT based protocols made popular by CrossFit, F45, etc to more flow or sequence based workouts more commonly associated with yoga practice, everything has its place in the Kinsei-Do methodology.

Your Functional Fitness Journey
Each exercise and workout routine is designed with a certain fitness level and foundation in mind. From newbie to fitness crack, Kinsei-Do offers something for everyone. To this end, the Kinsei-Do training system is broken down into six levels or ranks. Your journey through the six ranks serves several purposes: it motivates you to strive for improvement, allows you to exhibit your progress and also ensures that beginners are not overwhelmed while at the same time keeping seasoned practitioners challenged.

In addition to the six levels, the purpose of which is to set a systematic framework to measure progress, each Endurance, Strength/Power and Speed/Agility workout at every level (except White Belt) comes in three grades of difficulty. These variations, known as Standard, Advanced or Elite, further ensure that Kinsei-Do is suitable for everyone!

Outdoor Bootcamp
We currently run two weekly outdoor group training sessions, sometimes also referred to as bootcamps, in Alam Sutera and Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD).
Participation is 60k Rp per session (30k for first timers) or 240k Rp for an Unlimited Monthly Flatrate! All you need is an exercise mat and a bottle of water, and you're ready to go! All levels welcome! |

Train on your Own with Kinsei-Do Live
The Kinsei-Do Training System, including all its workouts and exercise progressions, are available for a small fee, delivered directly to your smartphone.
Workouts are scheduled for you by Coach JC himself, and you report back weekly how you experienced the training. Based on your feedback, the workouts for the next week are adjusted to keep you motivated and challenged! Just grab your smartphone or tablet, head to your favourite park or training spot and you're set to go! |
